Wow ! PLN !

Hello again ! (:

As you can see from my title, this post is about PLN.

: Huh ? What ? You have no idea what is PLN about ?

: Oppsss …! So do I ! 

Is alright, let’s learn together !

So, what is PLN ?

PLN is a short form for Personal Learning Network.

 A personal learning network is an informal learning network that consists of the people a learner interacts with and derives knowledge from in a personal learning environment. In a PLN, a person makes a connection with another person with the specific intent that some type of learning will occur because of that connection. (source from Wikipedia)

PLN enable us to make a connection with people around the places in world. We get to engage with people within same field/interest, is all about our own choices in who to get connect with. Even we have not seen any faces of them in reality, we still be able to connect with them and share what we wish to.

There’re a lot of social networking which linking to PLN such as  :

Diigo (pron.: /ˈdɡ/) is a social bookmarking website which allows signed-up users to bookmark and tag web-pages. Additionally, it allows users to highlight any part of a webpage and attach sticky notes to specific highlights or to a whole page. These annotations can be kept private, shared with a group within Diigo or a special link forwarded to someone else. The name “Diigo” is an acronym from “Digest of Internet Information, Groups and Other stuff” (source from Wikipedia)

Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at a subdomain of blogspot.com. Up until May 1, 2010 Blogger allowed users to publish blogs on other hosts, via FTP. So, PLN do really helps in expanding our social network and allow us to build the connection between each other in a really short time. It will also helps us to gathers information from others for future usage or even share our own ideas with people around the world. Sounds amazing huh ?
